Under 6 Training is up and running at the all weather pitch on Fridays 6pm-7.15pm. Well organised and with quality coaches in Pa O’Connor, Micheal Reidy, Declan Brouder, Donie Gleeson, Michael O’Grady, etc and dads and moms giving a hand also. The more the merrier and if all buy in to the process, bring along their own hurleys, learn as they go, things will be ar muin na muice. Football – catch, kick with either foot off the ground, off the hand, high field, block, pick-up, toe to hand are the skills to be mastered in Peil, while the 6 year old who can get the grip right (writing hand-dominant at the top), strike on the ground and off the hand of both sides, so a small solo tackle, etc. will be getting a call from John Kiely. New players are always welcome. The ball alley/all weather are the venues, a perfect venue for small lads.
