Primary Schools Coaching

This ongoing and help is always needed, so if you have an hour or so to spare and love the football and hurling, opportunity knocks! If you are interested, please contact for further details.

Spare Gear

If you have any small hurleys and helmets which are no longer needed they’d be very welcome by those coaching younger age groups in the club and schools. Just drop them to any training session or committee member and they will be added to stock and be available to the learners especially in schools where young players who are introduced to GAA may not have their own gear. Many of those who are introduced to the game in schools do not join the club!

Congratulations to Newcastle West’s Iain Corbett who will continue as joint captain, with Monaleen's Donal O’Sullivan, of the Limerick Senior Footballers for the 2021 season.  All in Newcastle West GAA wish the best of luck to Iain, Billy Lee and his management team who get the 2021 campaign underway next Saturday May 15th v Tipperary in the first round of Division 3 South at the Gaelic Grounds.  The game begins at 5 and can be seen Live online on GAAGO.  The Limerick hurlers fought back from 5 points down to earn a point with a 0-20 to 0-20 draw v Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds last Saturday evening.  Next up for John Kiely’s men is a trip to Pearse Stadium v Galway next Sunday May 16th. The game begins at 3.45 and can be seen Live on TG4.

All in the club sympathise with Liam our groundsman, the Sexton’s and extended families on the death of their Father Michael.  May he RIP. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
